TransPeshawar (The Urban Mobility Company), is a Public Sector Company established under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984 to carry out the project implementation, management and maintenance of urban rapid transit projects in Peshawar. The company is seeking for a dynamic, experienced and self-driven professional for the position of its Chief Executive Officer.


Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic direction, achieve business goals and meet the expectation of various stakeholders. Specifically the CEO will be responsible for strategy development, overseeing business operations and support functions, approve policies and procedures of the company. The ideal candidate should hold a professional degree, minimum Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or Business Studies from a recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates holding a Master degree in Business Administration, Transport Planning and Engineering, Urban Transport Planning and Management or related fields. The candidate should have a minimum of 20 years of post-qualification experience, including 10 years of experience in a senior management position at a large public or private sector company. A minimum of 5 year of experience in a similar role in a corporate sector is highly desirable. The candidate should have a profound understanding of the public sector and international contracts. Qualified and experienced expatriate Pakistanis are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be offered a three (3) year contract (extendable) with market based salary and other perks and privileges commensurate with the experience.

Important: The candidate shall be appointed in accordance with the Public Sector Companies (Appointment of Chief Executive Officer) Guidelines, 2015 (the guidelines) and Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013 and must fulfil the Fit and Proper Criteria as laid down in the Guidelines and complete and send the forms (annexure A and B) along with the application as per the Guidelines.
